2D1N Johor Bharu
Itinerary for Family of 5 (2 adults + 3 young children)
11:30pm Left Singapore.
12:20pm Arrived Johor Bharu
Couldn’t locate intended hotel – Citrus. Didn’t like the surrounding while making rounds. Decided to explore Danga Bay.
First, lunched at kopi tiam. Yummy wantan mee, crispy pancake, chicken rice etc. RM3-RM4/plate.
Off we went.
On the way saw a Danga City Mall and Thisle before hitting the coastal road along the bay.
Tunes Hotel was quite big. The retail area next to it seemed dead though. So decided to check out Thistle.
Yes, room available. And yes, it is nice…. Hollywood Deluxe Room (RM289).
4:00-5:30pm – swimming pool.
6:00-9:00pm – Danga City Mall -> Japanese Dinner (RM43) + Bowling (RM4.80/game)
Oh… couldn’t resist doing a little “grocery shopping”…RM107.
Next Day, wonderful hotel breakfast. Nasi lemak, bread, rending, roti, omlette, juices, fruit etc etc.
9:30-11:00 – Swim again.
11:30-1:30pm – Check out and banking
2:00-4:00pm – City Square Mall. Lunch at Kenny Rogers (RM79… ).
4:30-6:30pm – Johor Bharu Zoo. Very low expectation… turned out to be quite interesting!
6:45pm – Leaving JB
7:30pm – Arrived Marine Parade.
Amazing value…. The power of exchange rate (at 2.4)
