iFly @ Sentosa

FIRST THINGS TO NOTE:
-          They need you to declare, among others that you are free from the following:
o   History of shoulder dislocation
o   Back problem
-          You must be there 1.5 hour before flight time for check-in, briefing, changing, etc. Once the door is shut, you will not be allowed in to join the group even though it is not flight time yet.
-          Minimum age: 7

Step 1 – PURCHASE: be there onsite to purchase ticket. Make sure you have an ID (IC/Passport).
You will see that day’s schedule and which flight is still available.
Attendant will also guide you at the counter.
Decide on flight time and optional items (ie Photo and DVD).
Make payment and get the receipt.

Step 2 – CHECK IN: bring receipt and photo id to check in.
Make sure you get there at least 1.5 hour before flight time. Check in takes 15min easily (longer if many people). The process requires each visitor to sign a declaration form (electronic).
Do not bring bulky items. Storage facility ($2) is small locker that can fit medium size lady’s handbag only.
Shoes with shoe lace is required. If you don’t have, it can be rented.
No skirts allowed.
You will feel more comfortable with non-collared shirt as all parts need to be “inside” the flight suite.

Step 3 – FOLLOW THE FLOW: video introduction and instruction + instructor’s briefing
Pay attention to the simple video instruction. The instructor will also get everyone to try out the flight position and ensuring everyone understand the simple hand gestures.

Step 4 – SUITE UP: that’s the cool part.
You will be asked to leave all items (watch, ear rings, camera etc) in the locker.
Suite up – including goggles, ear plugs and helmet.

Step 5 – GET IN AND FLY: hmmmm
Everyone gets 2 flights. There are around 14 people in a group. 30min slot. Every flight feels like about 30seconds.
At the end of the 2 rounds, you are offered additional flight at $30. This time, the instructor will take you for a spin.

Step 6 – GET OUT AND TAKE OFF your suite
Then…. Make payment for that extra flight. Select the photo that you’d like printed out and inform the attendant. This process (includes waiting for the print-out and DVD) takes about 30min.
While waiting, you can order a cup of tea and view the video of yourself and other group members flying.

Finally
Funnily, I laugh
Fumingly, I loom
Fervently, I love
Finally, I Fly.
