~ Raise motor to check propeller

Always travel 'port to port' against oncoming boat.
Man overboard. Always turn towards the side man falls. Take 5sec. Approach slow. At 3m, hard port, as bow turns, neutralize gear, then immediately reverse for split second and neutralize back in order to halt the boat.
Unbearthing ~ if berthed by port side. Check stern clear. hart port n forward to turn bow head port ward. Check that engine is straightened, then reverse. Avoid knocking bow head and clear any boat berthed behind.
Berthing (port side) ~ enter center of berth at 30°. At 3m, hard stern and neutralize gear. Ad boat approaches parallel, counter by hart port. Then reverse to stabilize. Neutralize n pull boat to berth.
