TAIWAN 2010 DAY4

Sun Moon Lake - visited Peacock garden, the small light house, some kodak moments... then off we went.
Stopped by a few places to try out some local produce - grapes, grilled potato, little-rice wine, plum. One cool place was this Plum Dream Factory. TjiaWern had a DIY session. A lady there suggested that we put up at Dong Pu (東蒲) instead of driving straight to Alishan.
So we ended up having a 10-course dinner, room with hotspring pool, Bunung tribal welcome dance and night walk with mini fireworks display.

TAIWAN 2010 DAY3

Taitung Cultural Center - played "gasing", fed fish, walked the garden etc.
Lamungan - a great stop on express way. "Small sausage in big sausage", "pig-blood cake", variety of fish cake / meat ball sticks....
Arrived at Jiji but it was like "nothing here". Looked like they just had a celebration a couple of days before though (board dated 10.10)
Got to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) and found a hotel we liked - 水岸..
Watched local tribal dance then dinner.... yes, tasted local fish (ie from the lake).

TAIWAN 2010 DAY2

Hsinchu (新竹) to Taitung (台中)
17mile coastal area was quite ermmm.... quiet.
Great coffee place at TongSiau... and excellent street food at Taitung.

TAIWAN 2010 DAY1

YEAP.... Our 2010 HOLIDAY brought forward due to some events coming up in December.
Here we go!
Mr. Nelson had our car ready... with Garmin GPS. Right hand drive but south-bound traffic was much much lighter compared to those travelling north toward Taipei.
First night at Hsinchu 新竹. Had yummy street food and super yummy desert.... ColdStone.
