We had a wonderful evening… v nice aircond (heater!) and v nice mattress!
Breakfast was excellent! Healthy Taiwan style.
Children trying out the new toy – gasing, but not so easy. Then they asked if we could cycle…. Yes but only 2 working properly, and we had trouble getting the OBike working. Anyway everyone still in good spirit.
As planned, we drove out towards “Pine Garden”.
Derailed - “There is a hill. Let’s check it out….. ooops crematorium” Anyway, view was quite good.
Google map showed something interesting: a bridge cutting across quite a wide river, with a few marked locations. Let’s go.
And that’s how we managed to do a little hiking through pitch black tunnel to a waterfall, and then visited a cat cafe!!
Liyutan (carp lake) is quite near, let’s go. That’s how we ended up cycling round the lake for an hour. Everyone enjoyed!
So it was too late to leave Hualien. So we found another place to stay for another evening.
