1712 Taiwan D8 Hualien

Waking up at about 7am. It was 15 °C. LW wanted to follow me to go for a walk.
It was nice. The canal is swampy habitat for some birds and the council has taken steps to preserve that. It serves as a cleansing system for the water.

I then took TH w me to do laundry while the rest went straight to the breakfast place (voucher provided by Mingsu).

We decided to visit a local hospital as our Cold/flu was not getting better. It was a nice experience. Friendly advice by a local volunteer there – “shower in hot water And drink lots and lots of water”.

It was past lunch time. The few restaurants we wanted to try was already closed. So we just walked in to a small stall that was still open. And it was Baam! So yummy.

On the way out (northwards), we stopped by a little farm and witnessed someone flying a remote control plane. Big one.
Then we stopped at a building that looked like an office, with some restaurants… to look for toilet…. And found out it was a newly opened trade centre promoting local produce and tradesmen. Another hour spent here.

We drove past the Farglory seaworld, which looked inviting. LW was “begging” to go.

Stopped at HaiJiao to ask if Wang laoshi was there. Made an appointment of sorts to visit the next day, and off to look for accommodation for the night.

Having confirmed our night’s stay through booking site, we took our time to eat at a restaurant that we had just passed. It was great…. Both taste and value.

The check in had a little trouble, I relented in order to settle the family. The matter was settled after the trip with booking site returning the extra money paid that evening. So booking through bigger and established company is still quite good.
